6/11 at 10AM: Class is held in the Statehouse: Don't be tardy!
We're going on a Field Trip, kids!
Join us Wednesday, June 11 at 10 a.m.
Important Details
We will meet outside of the 3rd Street entrance to the Statehouse beginning at 9:30 AM. At 10:00, we will walk in together and go through security.
Those who arrive later can walk right in and join us. The Statehouse does not require any special permit or credentials to visit.
Signs, banners, posters, etc. may not be attached to a stick, pole, or stake of any kind. Sound amplification devices are also prohibited.
Organizers will provide our “textbook” for class: a Burn Book inspired by Mean Girls calling out the bullies, weirdos, and villains in Ohio’s legislature.
Everyone must be mindful of instructions from event organizers in order to comply with Statehouse rules; failure to do so could lead to our removal.
If we are asked to leave the Statehouse, we will continue to protest outside.
Be sure to share the flyer that got you here on social media and with other supporters of public education in Ohio.
Concerted Activity is a legally protected right, and CORE is a caucus of unionized educators: we have the right to take action related to our working conditions. Our planned actions are also protected as free speech.
